Steelhead sign installation, San Mateo Creek watershed
Pictures of volunteers installing southern steelhead awareness signs at the Tenaja Falls trailhead up in the headwaters of San Mateo Creek. This installation is part of an on-going effort for signage to raise awareness for the endangered southern steelhead trout, Orange County's only native trout.Special thanks to Scott Hanson, E-science teacher at Murrietta High School for bringing a couple of his students out; the next generation of environmental stewards.
