I am an outgoing person who has been bitten by the fly bug. I mainly fish NE Iowa. I have had a few fishing adventures outside the state that include Colorado (hurt while snow skiing, but healthy enough to fly fish on the Yampa River), Montana (Big Horn River) and a few trips to upstate New York on the Salmon River (See picture). I am an avid environmentalist, in the state with the most polluted waters in the US. So, I along with fellow TU members, have our work cut out for us here. Iowa has some very good waters and are open year round. Bring your rod and fly fish Iowa!
